Our carbon cycle is the process of carbon atoms continually traveling from the atmosphere to the Earth, then back into the atmosphere.
Human activity since the industrial revolution has greatly impacted the carbon cycle, by rapidly adding more carbon to the atmosphere, mainly through the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation.
The carbon cycle is responsible for the current balance of life on our Earth.
