The Industrial Revolution (1730 – 1915) created technological, socioeconomic, and cultural changes.
The major changes were:
- Technological advancements that tremendously increased use of natural resources and the mass production of manufactured goods.
- Increased mining and use of steel and iron.
- Use of new machines that created increased production with less human energy.
- Use of coal, electricity, petroleum, the steam engine, and the internal-combustion engine.
- Created the factory system that increased the division of labour and specialization.
- Increased use of the steam locomotive, steamships, automobiles, airplanes, telegraphs, and radios.
