The Seventh Generation Principle is an Indigenous concept – it is to think of the seven generations coming after you in your words, work and actions.

This principle is based on the philosophy of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy (Iroquois), recognized as the oldest democracy in the world.

The philosophy is believed to be the model of the American Constitution, the foundation document of the most powerful and prosperous nation on Earth.
