A megacity is city that houses 10 million people or more, also known as megalopolis, supercity or megaregion.

In 1950, there were two (2) megacities in the world, today there are thirty four (34) megacities.

Scientists predict there will be nearly fifty (50) megaregions on our planet by 2040. These megacities of tomorrow have the potential to manage some of the biggest challenges of today, through sustainable development and innovation.
