A biome is a biological community that shares a climate.
There are eight (8) types of biomes:
- aquatic – freshwater & marine
- grassland – plant cover & grasses
- savanna – grasses & scattered trees
- tropical forest – canopy forests
- temperate forest – variety of deciduous trees
- Tiaga – the boreal forest
- desert – little vegetation
- tundra – treeless, rolling ground found in cold regions
