bioarchitecture

Bioarchitecture is the design of buildings in an ecologically friendly way, to reflect structures found in Nature.

These designs are beautiful and beneficial because humans have a natural affinity for Nature.

Similar to biomimetic design, it focuses on the principals of a building to “work like Nature”.

Bioarchitecture principals are:

  • Nature uses only the energy it needs
  • Nature fits form to function
  • Nature recycles everything
  • Nature banks on diversity
  • Nature demands local expertise
