DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of the LA River\, California Native Plant Society\, and San Fernando Valley Audubon for a morning of invasive plant removal and bird walks in the Sepulveda Basin! \n\n\n\nWith the help of the California Native Plant Society\, volunteers will remove invasive mustard and learn about its impact on the ecosystem and why its removal is vital to restoring California’s native habitat. Afterward\, join San Fernando Valley Audubon Society as they lead nature-filled walks around the Nature Reserve\, binoculars provided! \n\n\n\nPlease see the instructions depending on which app you use for directions. Google Maps if you type in Woodley Archery Range it will take you to the correct location. Apple maps if you type in Woodley Park Archers it will take you to the correct location. Please use the image below for reference to where we are. So grab a flashlight and join us to experience the beautiful Los Angeles evening skyline and walk under the light of the moon. We welcome hikers of all ages and experience levels to enjoy the outdoors with us in either a Coyote Crawl\, Silver Bear Stroll\, or Night Owl Prowl. \n\n\n\nCoyote Crawl – Slow-paced informative walk aimed at taking in all the surrounding beauty and sounds. Great for kids and kids at heart! \n\n\n\nSilver Bear Stroll – This medium-difficulty hike is filled with fun facts and a rewarding challenge at the end with a terrific view! \n\n\n\nNight Owl Prowl – A 2-mile power hike with incredible views that leave you breathless with a sense of accomplishment! \n\n\n\nWe are thrilled to be partnering with Floating to provide music before the moonlight hikes. Experience the harmony between soundscape and landscape with an inspirational outdoor musical performance.  \n\n\n\nCheck-in starts at 6 pm\, music starts at 7:00 pm and the hike starts at 8 pm. \n\n\n\nThis event is open to the general public at $20 per person. Children under 15 are $10 and children under 3 are free. All children must have adult supervision.  \n\n\n\nWhile we love dogs\, we strongly recommend you do not bring them to the Moonlight Hike.
