Breathing is a vital function that automatically inhales and exhales air, it can also be controlled consciously.
The Earth “breathes” through plants, trees, and oceans. Plants take in carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen, which is like the Earth taking a deep breath in and out. This process is called photosynthesis.
Oceans also help the Earth “breathe” by absorbing and releasing gases like carbon dioxide. They act like the Earth’s lungs, keeping the air balanced and healthy. The Kelp Forrests that live in our oceans provide around 70% of the total oxygen we breathe here on Earth.
These natural processes keep our planet’s atmosphere in balance, making sure there’s enough oxygen for us to breathe and keeping the climate stable.
