reforestation

Reforestation is the natural, or intentional, regrowth of existing forests and woodlands that have been depleted.

Trees and plants absorb carbon dioxide and together create a carbon sink, that stores large amounts of carbon.

Forests remove around three billion tons of carbon every year.
