parts per million (ppm)

Climate scientists use the term parts per million (ppm) to describe the concentration of pollutants, like carbon dioxide or methane, in the atmosphere.

Many scientists agree that carbon dioxide levels should be at 350 PPM to be considered safe.

We are currently over 400 PPM and this number is growing by approximately 2 PPM each year.

09.11.2022 – Earths PPM count is 415.31
